JAWS STARTS!

JAWS Starts at 8:20-8:40 a.m.!

Come and join us as we start Jogging and Walking Superstars (JAWS)! Students (and families) will walk around Silver Springs Park. Kids will earn a punch for every lap completed.

School Supply List

JAMES GIBSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Student Suggested Classroom Supply List (Optional)

The Clark Count School District provides necessary supplies for all students in order to meet their educational needs. However, we know that sometimes parents choose to buy school supplies for their child. Should you decide to do this, the following items would be appropriate for your child’s grade level.

 

KINDERGARTEN

1 box Crayola crayons (24 count) 1 white 1 ½” 3-ring binder with clear view cover

2 bottles Elmer’s glue #2 pencils

1 new plain white t-shirt larger than current size

Boys bring box of 250 count tissue

Girls bring 1 roll 35 mm film and pack of 100 paper plates

1 large backpack large enough to fit a binder (no wheels)

Boys bring in gallon size zip lock bags and 1 package of brown lunch sacks

Girls bring in sandwich size zip lock bags

Additional items may be requested by individual teachers

FIRST GRADE

1 Pair Fiskar’s scissors (pointed child size) 1 Crayola classic washable 8 count marker (thick)

2 Boxes Crayola Crayons (24 count) 1 Crayola classic 8 count marker (thin)

2 Large pink erasers 1 box gallon size Dow Zip-Lock freezer bags

2 4oz. Bottles Elmer’s glue 1 package of wet wipes

2 boxes of Kleenex 1 bottle hand sanitizer (girls only)

Plastic school box 1 box sandwich size Zip-Lock bags

12 small glue sticks 1 large plastic or nylon backpack (no wheels)

Additional items may be requested by individual teachers

SECOND GRADE

2 boxes Kleenex (large boxes)

2 boxes Crayola crayons (24 count)

2 12 packs pencils #2

1 pair Frisker’s brand scissors (pointed child size)

2 pink erasers

1 Girls bring box gallon zip lock bags and Boys bring box of snack size

1 box colored pencils

1 pencil box (cigar box size)

1 bottle Elmer’s white glue

Additional items may be requested by individual teachers

THIRD GRADE

1 box pencils #2 (sharpened) 1 box Ziploc gallon freezer bags (girls only)

1 large pink eraser 1 box Ziploc sandwich bags (boys only)

1 box Crayola colored pencils (12 count) 1 pair scissors (with points)

2 bottles Elmer’s white glue 3 Plastic pocket folders (1 red, 1 yellow, 1 blue)

1 box Crayola markers 1 box Crayola crayons

1 package lined index Cards (3x5) 1 wooden ruler (with inches and centimeters)

2 different colored Highlighters 1 pencil zipper pouch

1 box Kleenex (large box) 1 package paper towels

1 package baby wipes 1 package mini-chart award stickers

1 Backpack (without wheels)

1 white 1-inch 3 ring binder (with front and back see through pockets)

Additional items may be requested by individual teachers

 

 

FOURTH GRADE

3 large glue sticks 1 package wet wipes

1 box Kleenex (large box) 1 roll paper towels

1 set of dividers with tabs 1 bottle hand sanitizer

1 2” 3-ring binder 2 packages #2 pencils

1 package colored pencils 1 box quart size Ziploc bags

2 ink pens (red, green or purple) 1 pair of scissors

1 large eraser 1 wooden ruler with metric/inch

1 package of multicolor highlighters 1 protractor

1 compass 1 package Crayons

1 package markers Ten dollars for Time for Kids Magazine

1 pencil organizer (punched to fit in binder) 1 package college ruled lined notebook paper

5 pocket folders with 3 hole punched 1 each: Purple, blue, yellow, green and red.
