Parent Reminder:
Please be reminded that the gates to our school campus are locked each day until the 8:40 a.m. bell. No students, with or without parents are allowed on the playground before this time. Safekey is available for any student that must be dropped off early. All students going to Safekey will enter through the exterior kindergarten hallway doors.
Menu Change :
Pizza will be served in the lunchroom every Friday in the
month of March. On Tuesday, March 23, and April 23, 2010 the lunchroom
will be serving a good healthy salad bar for lunch.
Science Fair :
Our science fair 2010 will be held in May of this year. Kindergarten-4th grade students have the opportunity to do individual or class projects depending on their teacher's discretion. The students will have opportunities to display their projects, ,judges viewing and determining placement. If your child is interested ask your child's teacher or contact: Mrs. Shearin 5th grade Room #33
Camp Invention:
Gibson Elementary School is pleased to host the Camp Invention program again this year for June 7-11, 2010. Camp Invention is an exciting summer day experience for children entering grades 1- 6. The program is designed to inspire creativity and inventive thinking through loads of hands-on activities and F-U-N! Melissa Berger will direct the program,and local, certified teachers will lead the five modules each day. The registration fee of $230 includes snacks and a Camp Invention T-shirt. Carnival: Gibson Carnival will be on Friday, May 7, 2010
Yearbooks: Yearbooks are coming. You can purchase your 2009-10 Gibson yearbook for only $17.50. After March 13th we will be selling yearbooks for $20. . Pre-ordering is the only way to guarantee a copy will be available.
PTA Meeting: Wednesday,May 5th, @ 9:45 a.m . All parents are encouraged to attend! We will be discussing this year’s carnival,Join us!
